School fees are payable from January to December and must be paid in advance by the 5th of each month.

Notice cannot be given for November or December.

Fees are subject to an annual increase in May.

Deposit – per child

R500.00 –  which will be deducted from your first month’s school fees. (If you elect not to enrol after paying the deposit; such deposit will be returned to you)

5mnths to Grade 00:

Giraffe, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo Classes

Abacus Kids Academy is very excited to inform you about a brand-new Music Programme (Recorder) that we have introduced as part of our school’s academic curriculum.

This fantastic programme is conducted by Teacher Nelda, who trained under the very skilled and professional teacher and musician, Ilse-Louise of Power Music (BMUS,MMUS,LTCL).  Her unique Pow-Wow academic music programme has been developed for the purpose of school-readiness through music education.  She is highly educated in music and has been part of education for more than 25 years

The Grade R monthly school fees will be R100.00 more than the rest of the school, which goes toward this music programme, with Abacus Kids Academy subsidising the music fee difference.

School Fees – per child per month (1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025)

These fees include our Music Programme.

R3,200.00 per month for Full Day

R3,000.00 per month for Half Day (14h00)

R400.00 discount for 2 children

School Fees Discount

We offer a 10% discount on fees paid in full for the year before the end of January.

Fees are structured over a 12-month period.

A full calendar month’s written notice, submitted on or before the 1st of the month, is required before withdrawing your child from Abacus Kids Academy. Failure to provide notice will result in fees remaining payable until proper notice is given. November and December cannot be used as notice months.

If your account falls into arrears, your child will not be permitted to attend school until full payment is received. This policy will be enforced from the 6th of each month if financial obligations are not met.

A late payment fee of R200 will be charged on outstanding accounts and will apply each month that fees remain overdue.

Fees are non-refundable for any reason, including illness, holidays, or other absences. Monthly fees remain due and payable, regardless of attendance.

ADDITIONAL FEES AND SUPPLIES

Communication Book:

An A5 Hard Cover book must be supplied on Enrolment and be present in your child’s school bag at all times.  This book will be used for Parent/School communication purposes.  Parent’s must include the below detail in this book on Enrolment: –

Cover (provided by the school)

  1. Photograph of Child with Full Name and date of birth
  2. Covered in Plastic

First and Second page

  1. Photograph of Mother and Father together with Full Name and Contact Numbers.
  2. List of child’s allergies.
  3. List of chronic health.
  4. List of reasonable special requirements.

Third and Fourth page

  1. Photographs of and any other authorised person permitted to collect the child from school together with Full Name, Contact Numbers and relation to child.

If any other person, other than those authorised attempts to collect the child from school, without verbal confirmation from you, the child will not be permitted off the school premises.

Mattress Covers and Winter Blankets:

Each child, who sleeps during sleep-time, is required to have two mattress covers and two winter blankets, which we will supply and have embroidered with their name.  These mattress covers and winter blankets will be sent home every Friday afternoon for washing and must please be returned to school every Monday morning.
